Boyan Slat was born on July 27 1994 in Delft Netherlands. He is a Dutch inventor and businessman. In 2011 Boyan Slat was 16 years old he went diving and found more plastic than fish in the ocean. Then he discontinued his aerospace engineering studies to focus on the ocean plastic clean up. He invented a floating device to trap plastic waste moving into rivers before it reaches the high seas. This device is now used to harvest more plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. (more…)
